Cancer itself is not contagious so it cannot spread from one person to another.It is absolutely fine to touch and spend time with someone who has it.However,certain contagious viruses like human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis C can lead to the development of cancer.HPV is a sexually transmitted disease which can cause cervical cancer and hepatitis C which gets transmitted through sexual intercourse can cause liver cancer.

It has been an unanimously accepted and well researched fact that breast feeding reduces the chances of breast cancer in young mothers.
As there was no scientific evidence that this is also the case in older mothers, many older women do not consider in their decision to breastfeed their babies. This is not the case anymore.
